About Hayley

Heyo! I’m Hayley (she/ her). I am a ceramic artist based in Tampa/ St. Petersburg, FL and I just turned 30 in January. Thirty, more awkward than flirty, and usually thriving these days—which I can attribute mostly to the joy I find in turning mud into fun art.

I’ve always had a passion for visual arts, and have been in an on-again-off-again relationship with ceramics for most of my life. 2022 was a year of stress and burnout for me, so I started 2023 with a resolution to get back into my hobbies… pretty sure it has been the only successful New Year’s resolution in my 30 years of life.

I stumbled into the St. Pete pottery community in January 2023 and was quickly reminded that I’m happiest in the studio and don’t plan on letting life get in the way of this passion again. Hand-building is my modus operandi, but I’ll venture onto the wheel occasionally when my back is feeling limber and my mind feeling up for the clean-up duty. I enjoy making playful, colorful, and nostalgic sculptures like lava lamps, balloons, whoopee cushions, and sweet treats.

When I’m not making clay things or at my nine-to-five, I’m most likely playing beach volleyball or cuddling the dogs and cats on the couch searching Facebook Marketplace for bargains on equipment for my garage studio. Making art brings me joy, therapy, and community; and I hope my art brings you some of the same glee and excitement that I get from creating and sharing it with you.

I love connecting with all of you pottery people both in the studio and online. Let’s be friends!
